Infrastructure Referendum
Facts
Infrastructure decisions should be based on engineering need, public safety, cost of delay, financing cost, and long-term capital planning.
Tradeoffs
Borrowing has a cost. Delaying essential repairs also has a cost. Residents deserve clear alternatives before being asked to support major funding decisions.
My View
If engineers determine critical infrastructure must be repaired or replaced, we need to fix it. Public safety comes first, and the financing must be transparent.
